RAPID CITY, SD – Beginning Thursday, March 23, motorists can expect intermittent closures of the west half of the intersections of Mount Rushmore Road with Saint Cloud Street and Franklin Street for pavement removal. Saint Cloud Street will be closed from the Mount Rushmore Road intersection to the west approximately 180 feet. Franklin Street will be closed from the intersection of Mount Rushmore Road to the west approximately 80 feet. Each street will be closed intermittently as water and sewer lines are installed. Be advised that both streets may be closed at the same time.
Motorists are asked to slow down through the work zone and be prepared for: suddenly slowing, merging and stopped traffic, minor delays, loose gravel, uneven surfaces and bumps, as well as construction workers and equipment adjacent to the roadway.
