RAPID CITY, SD – Wednesday, July 26 – Beginning tomorrow, July 27, temporary daytime lane closures will be set up in the northbound driving lane of Mount Rushmore Road, between Clark and Columbus streets, to allow for work on handrail installation along the wall on the east side of Mount Rushmore Road. This work is anticipated to be complete by Aug. 4. Pedestrian access between Clark and South streets is on the west side of Mount Rushmore Road. Temporary Pedestrian Access Routes are at Fairview and South streets.
Motorists are asked to slow down while driving through the work zone and be prepared for suddenly slowing, merging and stopped traffic, minor delays, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the roadway.
